Megan Dillard joined the Fox 4 News Team in March 2014 as a general assignment reporter for the 5 & 6 p.m. newscasts.
She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Global Business. She interned at KPRC Local 2 in Houston, her hometown, and was offered her first reporting job while she was still a senior in college. She accepted and moved to Beaumont, Texas where she finished her last semester of school remotely.
After earning several story awards in the two years or so she spent in the field, she joined the KFDM Morning Show team as an anchor. She enjoys time on the desk and out on the streets, hunting down the next story, meeting people. She travelled to California for a piece on serial killer crime memorabilia, known as “murderabilia.” She also earned a Lone Star Emmy nomination for a piece about white supremacy prison gangs and the role those groups play both behind bars and in the free world. Her awards include Best Reporter for the 2013 Texas Associated Press of Broadcasters Division 4.
This Texan loves baseball, music, cooking, fitness, laughing, wit, movies, anything involving the military and family member reunions, Jack Bauer, Fleetwood Mac, and her dog Leah. She’s not a big fan of traffic, when people scrape their teeth against their fork when they chew, or being late.
